We’re lucky to work with some of the large Specialist Tool Suppliers in the UK. We’ve already highlighted a few of the ones we work with in the screed & concrete sector in a previous post, but we also have big names as distribution partners who deserve a shoutout!  

Lapwing

Lapwing UK Ltd are a family-run business and have been supplying top-quality construction & groundwork tools and site supplies in the UK since 1997. After starting out as a regional diamond tool distributor with just one salesperson and an old-school landline, Lapwing now have a large warehouse and HQ, a nationwide customer base, as well as two own-brand product lines!  

They stock tools for groundworks and utilities including Metex dapple bars and universal manhole key sets, highway equipment, site supplies including their own brand Orbit, workwear & PPE, and above all cutting tools including their own Incision blade range. Engineered for professionals, the Incision diamond blades deliver a contractor-approved cut with 4 different blade levels to suit all needs and budgets!

Precon Products

Precon are a leading national independent supplier of construction products based in Suffolk. 

Starting out in 2008, Precon Products has rapidly grown to a multi-million pound company supplying a wide range of contractors nationally, with 4 different depots across the UK. Their stock includes screed & concrete tools and accessories, concrete repair products, site supplies, sealants and curing agents to name a few – including our Chapin sprayers, concrete placers and dapple bars!

In addition to stocking major brands such as Sika, Tarmac etc, Precon also have an impressive range of their own brand products, from concrete finishing tools and chemicals to formwork and site safety supplies. They also have plenty of helpful product guides on their website!

Tekfloor

Based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, Tekfloor specialise in delivering screeding, underfloor heating, external render, insulation and related building products to trade customers – including Metex dapple bars, tripods and sprayers. As the screeding industry doesn’t always get much attention from large distributors, Tekfloor aims to offer screeders the best possible service and comprehensive supplies. Starting out in 2013, Tekfloor first focused on screeders, but soon expanded to external render and insulation, and now also have their own fleet of vehicles for delivering products to sites!  

In addition to stocking other well-known brands, Tekfloor also have their own product ranges such as TEKWARM insulation and TEKCEM floor screeds. They also offer services to cut plasterboard and insulation to size, which saves time and waste, and speeds up the installation.

Machine Mart

Established way back in 1981, Machine Mart has since grown their network of superstores to over 65 nationwide, and are now one of the leading specialist tools and equipment suppliers in the UK. They stock a huge range of products from power tools and hand tools to fixings, scaffolding and workwear, and also sell our screed & drainage tools including dapple bars & PipeGrip on-site pipe support.

In addition to their brick-and-mortar stores, their products are also available online and by mail order from their biannual Machine Mart catalogue, which is a ‘must have’ source for professional and DIY users alike. The company focuses heavily on quality, competitive prices, as well as unrivalled customer service, technical know-how and after sales support, and offer several handy buyer’s guides on their website!

Mad Supplies Ltd

Based in Bristol, Mad Supplies Ltd’s online store MAD4TOOLS.COM offers thousands of the latest DIY supplies, including power tools, hand tools, accessories, workwear, safety equipment, lighting, electrical, heating, cooling, security, storage and access equipment. They currently stock a wide range of Metex products from screed and drainage tools to fixings and rat blockers, and deliver thousands of parcels to DIY enthusiasts, handymen and tradespeople all over the UK, EU and the rest of the world! MAD4TOOLS.COM’s expert product descriptions and reviews help the customer to buy in confidence.
